Overview
The British Embassy in Dubai is the UK's consular presence in the commercial capital of the UAE. Dubai hosts over 100,000 British nationals — the city's financial, hospitality, and construction sectors draw significant British professional talent. UAE nationals and residents applying for UK visas submit applications through VFS Global UK Visa Application Centres in the UAE; the Embassy does not process visa applications directly. Consular services cover emergency assistance, emergency travel documents, notarial services, and support for British nationals in legal or medical difficulty across Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

Trade & Export Support
Dubai is the UK's primary commercial gateway to the Gulf and the wider region. UK-UAE bilateral trade exceeds £25 billion annually. The consulate's trade team focuses on sectors including financial services, fintech, retail, hospitality, logistics, and professional services — all sectors with a strong British commercial presence in Dubai.
Investment Opportunities

UK law, accounting, engineering, and management consultancy firms are well established in Dubai's business ecosystem.
