Overview
The Consulate General of Chile in Guangzhou covers southern China — Guangdong province and neighbouring regions. Guangdong is China's manufacturing and export powerhouse and a critical market for Chilean raw materials. The Canton Fair (China Import and Export Fair), held biannually in Guangzhou, is one of the world's largest trade fairs and a regular showcase for Chilean exporters promoting copper products, fresh fruit, wine, salmon and forestry goods. Chilean copper and copper products feed Guangdong's electronics and wiring industries, while Chilean cherries and blueberries have gained strong retail presence across southern China.
