Consulate-General of Brazil in Mumbai

Consulate General of Brazil in Mumbai, India

Overview

The Consulate-General of Brazil in Mumbai handles consular and visa services for western and southern India — Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka — from Bakhtawar Building at Nariman Point, in the financial core of the city. For residents of those states travelling to Brazil, the visa pathway (tourism, business, and the categories that move with Brazil–India trade across agribusiness, energy, mining and aviation) runs through this post and Itamaraty's e-consular system rather than the New Delhi embassy. Applicants anywhere else in India are served by the Embassy of Brazil in New Delhi.

Visa Services

Brazil visa applications from residents of Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka are handled here through Itamaraty's e-consular system, with documents and appointments routed to the consulate. Tourism, business and other categories follow the visa-reciprocity rules that apply to Indian passport holders.

Service Area

Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka. Residents of all other Indian states are served by the Embassy of Brazil in New Delhi.

Appointment Information

Consular and visa services are by appointment through Itamaraty's e-consular system.

Special Notes

The consulate is at Bakhtawar Building, R. N. Goenka Marg, Nariman Point, in south Mumbai's business district. Its jurisdiction is limited to Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka.
